• added fixed conflict with autoscroll. Image zoom will now override autoscroll only when applicable

• When zoom with text was used and the text size was going from any size to 100%. The text would resize but the image would not get updated to their original size. This bug was introduced in around version 0.2.1 when I made improvements to the performance of this extension when a page zoom setting of 100% was used.
• Showing of the image zoom value in the status bar. This feature has been missing since everyone upgraded to Firefox 1.5. It was a case of Image Zoom using a security hole in Firefox 1.0 to update the status bar and that hole got plugged in 1.5. The funny thing is, I didn't notice it until very recently.
• I finally fixed the known conflicts with three major extensions, AIO Gestures, Mouse Gestures and Smooth Wheel. All these conflicts have been plagueing image zoom since mouse scrolling was introduced in version 0.1.7. All extensions are now mature enough that they are able to avoid each other if they are coded well. The conflict with the Answers extension still exists in this version but I have managed to track down that conflict and it will be fixed in version 0.2.6.
• I changed the shortcut key for the zoom with text function to ctrl-\ from ctrl-z for the english version after many people were complaining that it conflicted with the undo command in firefox.

Thats about it. I will post this new version to addons.mozilla.org when I get (or dont get) enough feedback that this version is stable enough.

Some of the technical features of the new site include:

• the use of valid xhtml 1.1 and css2 throughout
• extensive use of em spacing on the stylesheets (change the browsers text size to see the whole site resize)
• Rounded corners on most of the box elements (this wasn't that easy to get working across the 3 main browser classes)
• Multiple stylesheets for user selection of the sites width and automatic initial selection based on the users screen resolution. (Controls available on the top left)
• gradient backgrounds

Overall the site took me a little over a week to design from start to finish.

My 2nd 3 month period in Argentina was up and I had to travel to Uruguay otra vez to renew my visa. I now have up until the end of September but I maybe I will go to Chile while I am so close here in Esquel sometime during this month.

I finished level 2 of my spanish studies and did quite well but realise that it is a long steady road to get to the state where I can speak even a little bit fluently. I will start level 3 (Intermediate level1) at the end of this month when I return from Esquel.

I have been working on a small extensions for the Mozilla Firefox Webrowser that is named Image Zoom. I became a little bit obsessed with it there for a couple of weeks and even got a migraine because I was working too hard on it. Now it has been downloaded by over 100,000 people with that figure rising each day but at least I don't have have to work on it anymore.

I went to the north of Argentina to the provinces of Salta and Jujuy with an Australian friend of mine from the spanish class and his Argentinian Friend. I really enjoyed the trip as the culture in that part of the country is something that I was not familiar with. I can't wait to go back again but next time I will go with Yamila. I turned the big 30 on the 30th July. Yami organised a nice little party for me in our flat here in Buenos Aires and we invited just about everyone we know here in Buenos Aires which isn't many. It was a great way to start another decade of my life. Photos can also be seen in the Photo Gallery.

Now we are here in Esquel, It has been one week that we have been here and in that time my little sister in Australia has given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Lara, We have been skiing twice to the local ski resort named La Hoya (Photos in the gallery), and had some frustrating times working on Yami's thesis trying to get it completed. That along with the little cabin and fire that we stay in, the cold frosty mornings, the big lunches, the afternoon siestas and the snow capped mountains make the stay here in Esquel very enjoyable.

We are in Esquel for another 3 weeks before we return to the big smoke of Buenos Aires. I have less than 5 months left here in Argentina. Finally passed the half way mark. I have to say that the time hasn't flown by but has gone quite slow. At the same time I have had a great time and have never been bored at all while I have been here. I think it is because I am always doing something new. I am sure I will enjoy the next 5 months as I have the last few.

25th of May is a national holiday here in Argentina to celebrate the day of the revolution. On 25th May 1810, the people of Buenos Aires declared their independance from Spain, however this was not formalised until 6 years later on the 9th July 1816 (Independance Day).

La Plata is a small city about 55km south of Buenos Aires. Yamila had a Paleo conference to attend there so I went along one of the days to have a look around the city. We stayed overnight and attended a dinner with all the Paleontologists. La Plata is the capital of the province of Buenos Aires. There are around 400,000 people inhabiting this entirely planned city with grid pattern streets joined by diagonal streets (See photo). It can get very confusing at some intersections with streets going off in all directions. La Plata is the home to the La Plata Museum of Nartural Sciences which is quite large and home to many things including a large collection of fossils and some well preserved mummies.
