This week we aquired a television. It has been 3 months since i have really watched any television but I haven't really missed it that much. We also got the cable hooked up as well so we have access to many channels including some that show aussie tv shows such as The Block, RPA, Water Rats and a few movies, but no sport from australia which I miss tremendously. I'm looking forward to seeing a bit of the local tele and hopefully I may learn a bit of spanish at the same time.
Last friday Yamila and I made a trip across the Rio de la Plata to the small village of colonia in Uruguay. The reason, I had to renew my tourist visa here in Argentina which meant leaving the country so i could re-enter. We took a took a pre-packaged day tour which meant we left left Buenos Aires at 9am, toured colonia, visited a farm and had some lunch before returning around 10pm. The trip across the river is about 3 hours so we didn't have much time in colonia itself, but enough time to buy some very very nice cheese and dulce de leche from the farm and to learn quite a lot about this historic town.
